La cadena MTV anunció el último miércoles que entre las sorpresas que tendrá la edición 2010 de los Video Music Awards está la participación de la comediante estadounidense Chelsea Handler, quien hará las veces de anfitriona del evento.
La conductora de "Chelsea Lately" será la encargada de poner el toque humorístico a la premiación musical, que se realizará el próximo 12 septiembre en Los Angeles.
"Todo el mundo sabe que cuando uno piensa en la música rap y hip-hop piensa en Chelsea Lately", bromeó Handler, quien reemplazará al británico Russell Brand, quien fue anfitrión de las dos últimas ediciones de los VMA.
Entre las demás sorpresas se encuentran la reaparición del rapero Kanye West a un año de la vergonzosa interrupción que le hizo a Taylor Swift cuando recibía su premio en el escenario.
Asimismo, se confirmó las presentaciones en vivo de Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj y Selena Gomez.
